🚀 Cosmos for Humanity is proud to announce that President Claire Elß spoke at the United Nations Science Summit 2024 on September 16 at 13:00 (CEST).
🌍 The theme of her speech: “Preserving the space environment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).” The session highlighted the critical need to align space activities with sustainability principles, emphasizing that space technologies are an integral part of global development and ensure the future of this shared resource.
Claire Elß took part in the opening panel, where she presented Cosmos for Humanity 's global vision for the protection of the space environment, an essential resource for future generations. The NGO's involvement in initiatives such as the Zero Debris Charter, launched by the European Space Agency, demonstrates its strong commitment to reducing space debris and promoting responsible governance.
During her speech, Claire presented the organization's holistic approach to space sustainability, which includes:
Engaging governments, the private sector and civil society in collaborative efforts.
Advocating transparency, equity and inclusion in space governance.
Emphasize the importance of involving diverse communities, such as Cosmos Rangers, who are trained to actively support these goals.
