Acting together
for a sustainable space
Space is a common good that urgently needs to be preserved for future generations. Cosmos for Humanity is committed to the responsible and ethical use of space resources, bringing together scientists, businesses, institutions, and citizens around concrete solutions to the environmental and regulatory challenges of space exploration.
Founded in 2021, our NGO works internationally to empower citizens and organizations to take action against space pollution and contribute to sustainable space governance. Inspired by the Aarhus Convention, we advocate a participatory approach, where every stakeholder has a role to play in preserving the orbital environment.
Thanks to our actions and collaborations with experts and representatives of the space industry, we are seeing a growing awareness: the sustainability of space is becoming a global priority.
Our main areas of action:
Space sustainability label

A transparent and verifiable reference framework to encourage and certify good environmental and ethical practices of space actors, in collaboration between end consumers of space data and industry experts.
The Community of
Cosmos Rangers

A global network of committed actors in Europe, West Africa, India, North and Latin America, raising awareness, taking action and collaborating to preserve the space environment and promote responsible governance.
Education & governance for a responsible space

We support decision-makers, companies and individuals through training and governance initiatives, in order to integrate ethical and sustainable practices into the exploration and use of space.
Recycling & recovery of
space materials
