Cosmos for Humanity strives to adopt an approach

similar to that of the Red Cross in the space domain.

Cosmos for Humanity is an NGO founded in 2021 in Switzerland. Its mission is to promote the sustainable development of space activities and enable citizens and companies to play an active role in preserving our orbits.

In the spirit of the Aarhus Convention, our mission is to enable citizens to participate in the preservation of the orbital environment by getting involved in the fight against space pollution.

Among the hundreds of space experts consulted and space industry representatives, even if there's still a long way to go, we can see that this vision is increasingly shared within the space community.

Education

As space is mainly financed by public funds, taxpayers, and therefore citizens and businesses, have the right to be informed and involved in managing the sustainability of space.

ECOSYSTEM

Cosmos for Humanity's public interest status enables companies and individuals to benefit from tax incentives to finance the sustainable development of space activities.

Empower

With the support of CNES, we have developed the Outer Space Footprint (OSF), an indicator designed to enable companies and the general public to compare satellite operators.

THE LAbel C4H

The C4H label is a spatial sustainability label made for and by citizens. Its open certification process enables citizens to get involved in preserving the environment.
